Although the weather along the coastline today didn’t exactly replicate what the “weather-people” were calling for, there was a hint of spring in the air & the sun did shine. Not to mention the swell was 4 to 6 feet and clean. I shot all morning before I had a session of my own & even though the air was pleasant the water temp was a reminder that we are STILL in March, but anyways here’s to a month dedicated to madness, mustaches & Guiness.

Hello John I too am an old man and have been witness to all the great technological breakthroughs accomplished by mankind, but I really fail to see how hi tech is going to solve our problems of overpopulation, lack of clean water, dwindling resources and worst of all our attitude towards what is really important in life. My grandfather was a man who never drove a car, worked every day at the bakery from 3am until 12noon, lived in a small home without TV and died at 93 years and I never saw him unhappy or disagreeable. He had a great life as did his wife who died one year before him. They knew what life was all about caring folks who respected man and beast and simply smiled at all the new technology with amusement. I think they were wiser than we are, and know for sure that they were stronger, more decent and more worthy of inhabiting this wonderful planet than the greedy folk who believe that there is no end to blind and ignorant consumerism, that man is so clever that there are no problems he cant solve. Well I am probably a fool but as sure as God made little apples, there will come a time when that wont be possible and in believing that, I am definitely a doomer and gloomer. We will not be the first civilization to see their behinds tacked to the wall! Hi tech and Wall street wont cut it nature will sort it out. Wait n see!God bless and Happy New Year!
